Our Story
Our tale isn't one of childhood chums gathering over beer and crisps. They didn't strike upon a brilliant business idea in a fireside eureka moment. More's the pity - it would make for better reading.
No, our story began back in 2010. An unlikely crew of a developer, project manager, and sales chap did some business together. Despite our different backgrounds, we hit it off. We agreed it would be brilliant to partner up on something someday.
Fast forward to 2013. A few more wrinkles and grey hairs logged. One remarkably well-kept beard cultivated. We reunited with a clear vision in mind. Over the years, we'd stayed in touch. We came up with the idea of creating a piece of software to make things easier for event organisers and attendees.
Why?
We had firsthand experience in this industry and had a good handle on what organisers wanted. We had built event ticketing software in 2006. Event organisers told us they were frustrated. They said they had limited options to customise event registration and communications.
On the off chance that you're interested, Mïtingu means "meeting" in Japanese. The name is a fitting and playful nod to the gatherings our software facilitates. And so our journey began, without beer or crisps but with purpose nonetheless.
Why we can make a difference
We've set ourselves some big objectives. We aim to deliver a powerful custom event management tool. Our tool enables event organisers to manage the tech side of their events stress-free. That said, we realise that having great software isn't enough.
Even the best software isn’t perfect and sometimes needs explaining. So, being there for our clients when they need us is a must. We deliver proper customer service and don’t just talk about it.
